Dr. Tessa Barry worked as an Instructor
at the Department of Agriculture Economics and Extension, University of the West
Indies, St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad for approximately five years. Currently,
she is actively
engaged in regional extension, volunteering as chair of the Knowledge
Management Committee for the Caribbean Agricultural Extension Providers’
Network (CAEPNet). She is also engaged in extension on a global scale as a
member of the Association for International Agricultural and Extension
Education (AIAEE) and the Global Forum for Rural Advisory Services (GFRAS).
Tessa holds a PhD in Agricultural Extension and a bachelor’s degree in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies. She also holds a master’s degree in Economics and Management of Rural Development from the University of Manchester, England.
She has a passion for rural
development and empowerment of women through agricultural development. Tessa is from the Spice Island.
